Welcome to the Aotearoa Legalise Cannabis Party

Jeff Lye

"We dont have to borrow money to make our economy work, when its based on the lucrative cannabis industry. The cannabis market is worth over a billion dollars a year and if legalised and licenced would return $150 million in GST alone."

Our policy will:

  • End to the war on cannabis - saving taxpayers $400 million per year.

  • Legalise the personal use and cultivation of cannabis at home.

  • Legalise the medical use of cannabis for a wide range of conditions.

  • Legalise the commercial sale of cannabis in a regulated marketplace.

  • Use industrial hemp to produce a wide range of environmentally friendly products.

In a Regulated market for Medcinal and Recreational Industry.

Dear St Albans Residents
Thank you for the opportunity to share our poilcies
and what they mean for the voter.

The Aotearoa Legalise Cannabis Party exists to legalise cannabis for
recreational, spiritual, medicinal and industrial puroposes,
to empower people to work together for peace and true justice;
and to institute a proper and just balance between the power of
the state and the rights of the individual. We believe
adults have the freedom of choice unless that choice harms
other people or the planet.

If your basing your vote around the pro-Cannabis movement then there is only one logical party to vote for and that is the Aotearoa Legalise Cannabis Party. The A.L.C.P is the only political party that has cannabis law reform as it's number one priority.

The Aotearoa Legalise Cannabis Party turns 21 this year and is optimistic for change.

The Party applauds Ross Bell from the Drug Foundation organising a conference on Drug Law Reform at Parliament last week.

The Aotearoa Legalise Cannabis Party wishes Abe Gray all the best with the The Opportunities Party, but thinks he is being overly optimistic about its chances of success.

ALCP Leader Jeff Lye said TOP was a new party that would probably fail to make the 5% threshold.

Lye said new parties usually fade away after one election cycle and generally do not keep going to give it another go, once they fail to gain MPs.
